Boer et Anglais #2

Boer et Anglais #2

Patriotic mail of the Boer War is a fascinating field, with no shortage of material available depicting the wide range of views from each side of the conflict. Though not direct participants, public opinion in France was not indifferent – in fact, the French were strong supporters of the Boer cause. This sentiment is depicting on this postcard entitled “Boer et Anglais #2″ published by “Le Bon Vivant, Paris.” It depicts British troops running from cartoonish President Krueger, over the caption “Messieurs les Anglais, vous vous tirez les premiers!”
