Chris Green

Personally, he collects Canadian military postal history, with a particular emphasis on the First Contingent in World War I, which he hopes someday will be exhibited. He also collects the stamps and postal history of the German Colonies & Offices Abroad, particularly German East Africa, as well as the postal history of Koblenz, Germany and Stratford, Ontario. He is actively seeking material for all of the above and would welcome any offers of items for sale.

A voracious reader and strong supporter of philatelic research and promotion, Chris is a member of a number of societies and study groups, including:

  • The Royal Philatelic Society of Canada
  • The British North America Philatelic Society
  • The Postal History Society of Canada
  • The Military Mail Study Group
  • The Military Postal History Society
  • The Anglo-Boer War Philatelic Society
  • The Cape & Natal Study Circle
  • The Transvaal Study Circle
  • The Orange Free State Study Circle
  • The German Colonies Collectors Group

A graduate of the Queen’s University School of Business, Chris has also studied at the Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Unternehmensführung (Otto Beisheim School of Management) in Koblenz, Germany. Prior to starting his own business, Chris was a senior advisor to Canada’s Ministers of International Trade and Foreign Affairs.

Passionate about preserving Canada’s heritage and history, Chris is proud to volunteer his services in a variety of capacities for such groups as the Canadian Royal Heritage Trust and the Anglican Diocesan Archives of Ottawa. A strong believer in sharing knowledge, Chris has been an invited speaker to community groups on topics ranging from military history to the monarchy.
