Christopher Green Ltd. is proud to offer a selected stock of quality postal history and ephemera to beginning and advanced collectors alike.

Our high-resolution scans should provide adequate detail to judge any quality issues of our items offered. We will state any hidden faults not shown on the scan that detract from the value of the cover.

In the case of postal history, since the vast majority of our covers are commercially used, condition issues related to such usage, including but not limited to wrinkles and small creases and opening tears, filing folds not affecting stamps, etc. Should be assumed and are generally not explicitly described. Similar rules apply to vintage and used postcards (for corner creases and typical edge wear), and ephemera.

While we do our best to keep our online listings as up to date as possible all items are offered subject to prior sale. Prices are subject to change without notice. 

Payment:

We accept orders directly via e-mail, phone, or by post. All inquiries will receive a prompt confirmation of the total cost including any applicable taxes and postage.

All prices listed on this site are in US $ dollars. We are pleased to accept payment by cheque (if within Canada or the USA), international money order (if outside of Canada) or via Paypal to chris@chrisgreen.ca.

While our prices are listed in US dollars, we will also accept payment in Canadian dollars, British Pounds, or Euros at the prevailing exchange rate found on www.xe.com.

For orders to be posted within Canada, buyers MUST pay applicable sales tax, being GST or HST as appropriate. Sales tax is not applicable to buyers outside of Canada.

Please contact us for payment terms for larger orders or for the trade, or if you need to make alternative payment arrangements.

Established customers may at our discretion have orders shipped without requiring prepayment, in which case an invoice will be included with your shipment clearly stating the amount due and payment terms.

Shipping

We ship all items safely and securely via Canada Post unless otherwise requested by the buyer.

Standard shipping fees for a small selection of covers is $3 within Canada or the USA, $4 internationally.

We will pay the postage costs on all orders over $100, and will ship free via registered mail for all orders over $200, with the exception of books, bulk lots and collections, which are charged to the buyer at our cost. Please contact us for a quote.

Due to stipulations in our insurance policy, we will not be held responsible for any covers not sent via registered mail. Should buyers prefer any such insurance, we are pleased to send any order via registered mail for a cost of $6.95 within Canada or $12.95 elsewhere, in addition to the required postage costs.

We are pleased to ship worldwide.

Shipping is typically done twice weekly, on Monday and Thursday mornings. Domestic shipments are expected to arrive within one week, international orders to the USA or Western Europe typically arrive within one to two weeks. Registered mail may take longer. As transit times are beyond our control, we accept no responsibility for orders delayed by the post and offer no guaranteed arrival dates.

Similarly, we cannot accept responsibility for any liabilities which buyers may incur due to their own domestic customs requirements. We will accurately state all package contents and values as required by Canadian postal and excise regulations.

Our Guarantee

We want our clients to enjoy their purchase, and for their acquisitions from us to enhance their collections. If you are in any way dissatisfied with a purchase, please contact us – we will make it right. We will provide a full refund, including postage costs, for any items found not to be as described.

All covers are sent with a seven day approval, during which time you may return a cover for any reason. Allowing for a generous shipping time, any returns – with the exception of those being sent to a third party expert – must be received by us within 30 days of our shipping date. Please do not alter in any way the original cover sleeve or any attached labels. Buyers are responsible for postage costs for any returns not due to inaccurate descriptions on our part.

Please contact us if you intend to submit an item for expertisation. We stand by our descriptions and will be pleased to refund the purchase price and shipping cost of any item found by a recognized expert to be contrary to our attributions, if we are notified upon ordered that such certification will be sought. Unfortunately, we cannot refund the costs of expertisation.
