Stampless folded letter, bearing Toronto APR 7 c.d.s., to New York, bearing CANADA 10 CT rate mark, endorsed MONEY LETTER in manuscript and handstamped REGISTERED, illustrated advertisement for James Currie BOILER & BLACKSMITH, docketing on back "letter written Fri April 6 1855" suggesting that this could be the EARLIEST KNOWN REGISTERED COVER, as registration replaced the money letter on 1 May 1855, a superb Toronto illustrated advertising cover and a key addition to a registration or money letter collection.
