2c Admiral postal stationery card, postmarked Halifax (Aug 12), to Toronto, handstamped with light oval INTELLIGENCE OFFICER / HALIFAX FORTRESS, staples holes at lower right, sender appears to have been a soldier en route overseas, writing "I have been on this train for 52 hours and am not at journey's end…we paraded thru Moncton NB…" A rare marking.
