Stampless folded letter, with contents datelined Philadelphia, multiple manuscript rate markings, handstamped PAID and postmarked with red PHIL c.d.s. (8 Dec), to Faubourg St. Germain, Paris, struck with red "COLONIES / PAR LE HAVRE", neatly-struck red Janvier 12 arrival backstamp, partially missing due to tear surrounding wax seal, otherwise fine and quite attractive.
