Germany 1914 WWI “SMS MOLTKE” H/S Wilhelmshaven CDS Feldpost Postcard
German cruisers "Goeben" and "Breslau" postcard, struck on reverse with violet S.M.S. MOLTKE Kommando marking, postmarked with Wilhelmshaven c.d.s. (25 Oct), to Kirchberg, trivial edge stains, a scarce marking, sent from the ship two months after its participation in the Battle of Heligoland Bight; a week after this card was postmarked, the Moltke steamed towards the English coast and bombarded Yarmouth.
