Stampless folded letter, with contents, dated Alicante, 9 May, neatly-struck Alicante straight-line in red, to Helsingfors, Finland, "St. Jean de Luz" transit c.d.s. (21 May), adjacent "2" in red, indicating (decimes) border tax, reverse with blue Paris transit (25 May), various accountancy notations on reverse including "100 1/2" (silver kopeks) and "669 / 30 / 699" indicating total due (6 roubles 99 kopeks) , scarce and remarkably fresh.

Tibet 1/6t green Lion Cover Shigatse Gyantse Penam to Lhasa
over franked with 1/6t green Lion, cliche 1, large corner margins on two sides, other two also large, tied by Shigatse c.d.s., Large Fret, Type XI, adjacent Gyantse and Penam c.d.s., the latter dated in manuscript and uncommon as such, to Lhasa, some light staining, an attractive franking and scarce early cover.

Tibet 1904 Registered KERONG COURT Cover via Rasuwa & Trisuli Kathmandu Nepal
Stampless registered cover, struck with ornate seal of the KERONG COURT in Tibet, carried via runner to the Nepalese Post Office at Rasuwa, with manuscript c.d.s., and Trisuli, with partial hand-dated negative c.d.s., typical flaws and creases, a desirable routing and lovely example of this seal.
Under the Thapatail Treaty of 1855, Nepalese courts were established in the Tibetan towns of Khasa, Kuti, and Kurong, to handle legal cases involving Nepalese citizens. Mail from these courts was struck with the appropriate court seal, and carried with free-franking privileges by couriers to nearby Nepalese border towns.

Tibet 1911 Registered KERONG COURT Cover Via Rasuwa to Kathmandu Nepal
Stampless registered cover to Kathmandu, struck with choice ornate seal of the Kerong Court in Tibet, carried by runner to the Nepalese Post Office at Rasuwa, with Sun and Moon c.d.s., one year earlier than the currently documented ERD, very fine examples of these scarce strikes.
